Job summary

Amentum is seeking a 3rd shift Facility Maintenance Technician III in Clayton, OH. Typical hours are 3rd shift, Mon-Fri 10:30pm to 7:00am, with potential weekend on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations.

The role involves performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with outside contractors while ensuring code and building standards are met. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in the area of specialization and/or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines nature of problem, and recommends appropriate solutions.
• Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
• Coordinates work with outside contractors.
• Assure code and building standards are met.
• Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility systems.
• Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
• Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc).
• Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
