Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor for the 3rd shift at our Houston, TX site. You will lead a direct-labor team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality and on-time production.

The role requires experience with welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW), oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, and strong knowledge of welding symbols and codes (AWS A2.4, ASME). English fluency and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and/or 5 years’ experience with basic welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW), oxy-fuel cutting and plasma cutting.
PPE knowledge is required.
Proficient use of measuring tools: tape, micrometer, calipers, square, level, angle finder, weld gauges, clamps, and half clamp configurations.
Experience operating material handling equipment; forklift operation.
Ability to rig properly and safely operate overhead cranes.
Knowledge of Miller and Lincoln power sources and welding parameters.
Able to read welding symbols and comply with AWS A2.4, ASME standards.
Fluent English; US work authorization; able to pass pre-employment checks.
Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize and direct (POD) work to ensure a safe environment and high-quality, on-time output.
Report to Fabrication Manager and supervise shift-level teams of direct labor.
Lead daily improvement initiatives and enforce 5S standards.
Maintain safety, quality and productivity metrics; ensure accurate NCR reporting.
Oversee timekeeping and payroll-related PTO approvals.
Issue helpdesk tickets and manage tool requests.
Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
