Job summary

Fujifilm Biosciences in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production, packaging, and R&D equipment to ensure cGMP/OSHA compliance. The role serves as the on-site contact for contractors and supports second/third shifts and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Training starts on first shift for the first few months. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in facility equipment maintenance, GMP experience, PLC and CMS

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with trade school/formal training on equipment mechanics.
• 5+ years in general facility production & packaging equipment maintenance/repair.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance System and Windows apps.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Equipment PLC experience a plus.
• GMP experience; pharma/biotech industry a plus.
• CA driver license with good driving record.
• Understand mechanical and electrical concepts; knowledge of cGMP/ISO 9001/EN46001.
• English reading/writing and communication fluency.

Responsibilities

• Document maintenance and repair records in CMS.
• Install/maintain/repair/tune troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment.
• Evaluate equipment to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Repair production/packaging equipment; PLC experience is a plus.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors as required.
• Move equipment to meet operations; respond to emergency maintenance needs.
• Be available for second/third shifts as assigned.
