Fujifilm Biosciences in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production, packaging, and R&D equipment to ensure cGMP/OSHA compliance. The role serves as the on-site contact for contractors and supports second/third shifts and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Training starts on first shift for the first few months. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in facility equipment maintenance, GMP experience, PLC and CMS

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with trade school/formal training on equipment mechanics.
• 5+ years in general facility production & packaging equipment maintenance/repair.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance System and Windows apps.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Equipment PLC experience a plus.
• GMP experience; pharma/biotech industry a plus.
• CA driver license with good driving record.
• Understand mechanical and electrical concepts; knowledge of cGMP/ISO 9001/EN46001.
• English reading/writing and communication fluency.

Responsibilities

• Document maintenance and repair records in CMS.
• Install/maintain/repair/tune troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment.
• Evaluate equipment to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Repair production/packaging equipment; PLC experience is a plus.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors as required.
• Move equipment to meet operations; respond to emergency maintenance needs.
• Be available for second/third shifts as assigned.

Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are hiring a Equipment Maintenance Technician. The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform general production, packaging, quality and research and development (R&D) equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure the site meets cGMP and OSHA compliance. This employee is the on-site contact person for contractors and provides works including, but not limited to second shift, third shift on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned. They also respond to emergency production and packaging equipment troubleshooting needs.

**This position will work 3rd shift 9pm-5:30am. The training will be on 1st shift for the first few months of employment.**

**Responsibilities:**

• Documenting production equipment maintenance and repairs records in Computerized Maintenance System (CMS).
• Installing/maintaining/repairing/tuning/troubleshooting production and packaging equipment per planned schedule and work request.
• Evaluating equipment to identify and correct reasons for malfunctions.
• Repair production and packaging equipment. Technician with equipment PLC experiences is a plus.
• Requisitioning new supplies and equipment, as needed.
• May construct or fabricate parts from drawings or written instructions.
• Coordinating vendors and contractors as required.
• Moving equipment to meet operational needs.
• Responding to production, packaging, quality and research & development equipment emergency needs.
• Must be willing to work in Second and Third shifts per assignment.
• May need to drive company vehicle if necessary.
• Manage Spare Parts.

**Required Skills/Education:**

• HS. Diploma or equivalent, with trade school and/or formal training on equipment mechanics.
• 5+ years' work experiences in general facility production and packaging equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance System. Proficiency of Windows including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical, mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Ability to work independently with no supervision.
• Equipment PLC experiences is a plus.
• Experience of working in GMP environment. Previous experiences in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Biotechnology industries are pluses.
• Valid CA Driver License and good driving record
• Understand mechanical and electrical
• Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO 9001/EN46001.
• Knowledge of Equipment PLC operation is a plus.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

**Salary and Benefits:**

• For California, the base salary range for this position is $29.00- $37.76 per hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
