Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking an Environmental Service Assistant for Outbuilding Housekeeping on the 3rd shift at 1320 W. Main St., Newark, OH 43055, USA. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to LMHS policies to support a safe healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash disposal, restroom sanitation, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on accuracy and following procedural guidance to protect patient safety and facility standards.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED strongly preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Work requires physical stamina.
• Work requires attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain cleaning equipment.
• Able to comply with necessary requirements by our insurance company to operate LMH vehicles.
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, mops, and scrubs hard surface floors.
• Maintains carpets by vacuuming.May operate carpet extractor.
• Collects and disposes of trash.
• Cleans assigned areas, to include dusting, mopping, sanitizing and replenishing soap and products necessary.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
• Sanitizes C-Diff. patient rooms using specified products and changes cubicle curtains.
