Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) in Newark, OH is seeking an Environmental Service Assistant for ALL SHIFTS. You will perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas following policies, sanitation, and safety procedures to support a safe patient environment.

Responsibilities include floor care, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitation, disinfection, and specialized cleaning of patient rooms as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Ability to properly use, care for, and maintain cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, mops, and scrubs hard-surface floors in assigned areas.
• Vacuums and maintains carpeted areas and may operate carpet extraction equipment as needed.
• Collects and properly disposes of trash and waste.
• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and replenishing soap and other necessary supplies.
• Cleans, disinfects, and maintains restrooms.
• Performs specialized cleaning and disinfection of C - Diff patient rooms using approved products and procedures.
• Removes and replaces cubicle curtains as needed.
• Follows established cleaning, sanitation, infection prevention, and safety procedures.
