Job summary

Thompson/Center Arms in Springfield, MA is seeking a 3rd Shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician. The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience across electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, with PLC programming exposure.

You will perform complex service work, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and support safe shut-down and start-up operations.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must have PLC programming experience.
• High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
• Must possess required licenses.
• Willing to work 12 Hr. shift and overtime, as required.
• Ability to interface with line operators for repairs and troubleshooting.
• Arc flash training completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electrical and mechanical service work in production, tooling support, plant and machine maintenance.
• Collaborate within Participative Work Team on communication, budgeting, scheduling, evaluating and problem solving.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls and drives.
• Plan and perform work with knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory, codes and equipment operation.
• Install, start up and shut down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Advise operators on operation procedures and safety requirements for equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and perform preventive maintenance as directed.
• Diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment and assist with technical troubleshooting.
• Train other maintenance staff and perform additional duties as needed.
