Job summary

SWPC is seeking a 3rd Shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Springfield, MA. The role supports production through electrical/electronic and mechanical system upkeep, testing and repairs, and adherence to safety standards.

Requires 5-7 years in the field, PLC programming ability, and willingness to work a 12-hour shift plus overtime. Valid licenses and apprenticeship-level training are preferred for this multi-skilled position.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work 12 Hr. shift and overtime as required.
• Computer experience/PLC programming is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electrical and mechanical service work in production, tooling support, plant and machine maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Plans and writes specifications and ensures compliance with electrical codes and safety procedures.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment following company safety and OSHA rules.
• Advise operators on operation procedures and safety requirements.
• Diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment and assist with technical troubleshooting.
