Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Manager, Distribution (3rd Shift) to supervise Warehouse Associates and Team Leads in a designated area, ensuring safety, quality, velocity and cost standards.

The role requires onsite work five days a week, 3rd shift hours (11:00 PM–7:00 AM ET) with up to 10% travel. The position will be moved to Lebanon, IN over the next 6 months, demanding strong leadership and CPS knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to make informed decisions using structured tools and judgment.
• Clear written and oral communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills for daily workload management.
• Experience leading warehouse teams and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set daily workload priorities for the value stream.
• Oversee overtime decisions and resource allocation to meet targets.
• Manage employee hours using timekeeping systems.
• Ensure safety, quality, velocity and cost standards.
• Order and distribute parts and materials timely and efficiently.
• Lead Lean & CPS initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Monitor and improve safety, training, and workforce development.
