Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a 3rd Shift Pipe Yard Associate for our Aurora, CO distribution center. The role involves hands-on yard work, operating forklifts and yard equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory and shipments.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Starting pay is $23.50 per hour with potential monthly incentive bonuses, plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and other benefits. Prior warehouse or yard experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, yard, or distribution environments preferred.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts or similar) preferred.
• Experience with distribution technology such as RF scanners.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and yard equipment to move, load, and unload pipe and materials.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
• Stock, organize, and maintain yard inventory to ensure efficient material flow.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Prioritize daily tasks to meet shipping timelines and support operational needs.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality and safety in assigned areas while following SOPs.
• Keep yard clean, organized and hazard-free.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards and company policies at all times.
• Participate in safety observations, audits and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a collaborative work environment.

Schedule

Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
• Comfortable working outdoors and staying physically active throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
• Prior warehouse, yard, or distribution experience preferred
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts or similar) preferred
• Experience with, or readiness to learn, distribution technology such as RF scanners
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements
• Detail‑oriented, team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to step in where needed

• Prioritize daily tasks to meet shipping timelines and support operational needs
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free yard environment
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times
• Participate in safety observations, audits, and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a collaborative work environment

Pay Range

$15.00 - $27.36

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
