Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location. This non-CDL role involves working in a warehouse and outdoors in the pipe yard, with product exposure to all weather conditions. Starting pay is $22 per hour with higher potential based on experience.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipe yard, in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material accurately and timely.
• Receive and store inventory effectively.
• Adhere to safety regulations and PPE usage, including safety harness with max 400 lbs weight capacity.
• May provide back-up driver duties as needed.

Position Summary

This role involves Non-CDL back‑up driving duties. Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location. This role will involve working in a warehouse as well as outside in the pipe yard. Most of the product you will be working with is outside and requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Starting at $22 and may be higher based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and some overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both a stand‑up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and sit‑down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year‑round in a pipe yard, performing duties in all weather conditions.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
• May be responsible for providing back‑up driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently, have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects that are up to 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.53 - $24.81

Estimated ranges displayed are monthly for salaried roles or hourly for all other roles.

This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible.
