Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Yard Associate in Tamarac, FL to support our brand-new semi-automatic fabrication shop. You will operate heavy equipment safely, accurately pick products, and help maintain an organized yard.

This role involves outdoor work in all weather, loading and unloading orders, cycle counting, and assisting in shop operations as needed. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations (shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory).
• Basic knowledge of carbon steel pipe and fittings.
• Forklift operator experience required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong organizational and mechanical skills; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment safely.
• Accurately pick products ordered.
• Coordinate removal/replacement of worn components.
• Accurately cycle count, inspect orders, and unload trucks with forklift.
• Organize and reconfigure the yard; receive items into the system.
• Assist in all shop and pipe yard operations as needed.

If you have warehouse or pipe yard experience in the pipe industry, this is the position for you!Position Details:Location | Onsite - Tamarac, FlSchedule | Monday to Friday 9:00AM TO 5:00PMResponsibilitiesOperate heavy motorized material handling equipment in a safe manner.Accurately pick products ordered.Coordinate the removal and replacement of worn components.Accurately cycle count, thoroughly inspect orders, and unload trucks with forklift.Effectively put items away and receive them in system.Coordinate the organization and reconfiguration of the yard.Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.Assist in all operations of the shop and pipe yard on an as needed basis.QualificationsA background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.Basic product knowledge of carbon steel pipe and pipe fittings is preferred.Forklift Operator experience required.Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.Constantly requires carrying objects that are up to 50 lbs. by hand.Constantly requires carrying objects that are 50 lbs. or more using equipment.Highly organized and able to perform tasks with minimal direction.Strong mechanical proficiency.Basic math skills required.** Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. **At Ferguson, we care for each other.
