Job summary

AKG is hiring a Core Assembler for the 3rd shift (10PM-6AM) to craft high-quality cores following our procedures and guidelines. The role requires experience in manufacturing and attention to detail, with on-the-job training provided in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, inspecting parts, assembling cores to tight tolerances, and maintaining accurate documentation. On-site work with steady production quotas and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; previous assembler experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic computer programs.
• Ability to read and understand detailed work order instructions and blueprints.
• Must have basic math skills and understand how to use measuring tools.
• Must have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand detailed work order instructions.
• Verify correct parts are pulled prior to assembly.
• Sort defective and usable parts; adjust slightly defective parts.
• Adjust core assembly machine as needed.
• Assemble cores and fit parts to close tolerances per AKG standards.
• Bind completed cores and perform quality checks.
• Document and label completed and incomplete cores.
• Meet production quotas provided by Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report any issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel.
• Follow all policies and procedures under AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Regular physical attendance is required.
