Job summary

AKG North American Operations Inc is hiring Final Assemblers for the 2nd Shift (2PM-10PM, M-F) to locate, retrieve, and assemble parts onto cooling units following work orders. You will prepare completed units for shipment and document the process for the Shipping department.

This role requires basic reading of blueprints, manual handling, and adherence to safety policies. On-the-job training is provided to help you grow your skills in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in assembly is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand detailed blueprint instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of the coolers, and use corrective tools to make any necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Locate and retrieve parts needed for assembly.
• Move the cooling package to the work area using manual effort or a chain hoist.
• Assemble and attach parts to the cooling package according to blueprint instructions.
• Move completed cooling packages to the skid, stacking with spacers as needed.
• Document the assembly process and label the package indicating completion.
• Cut plywood with a saw to build skids as required.
• Meet production quotas set by the Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Develop knowledge of components used in Final Assembly.
• Report issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to AKG EMS policies and procedures.
• Regular physical attendance is required.
