Job summary

LeoForce in Connecticut is seeking a 3rd shift CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, producing aerospace-grade components to tight tolerances.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience, read blueprints with GD&T, and are comfortable with Fanuc/Haas/Okuma controls. The role offers competitive pay and Day 1 benefits.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
  • Strong measurement with micrometers/calipers.
  • Proficient with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, or similar controls.
  • Detail-oriented with quality focus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills.
  • Machine aerospace-grade components to tight tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts.
  • Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds and machining parameters.
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision tools.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency.
  • Reduce scrap and rework through precision-focused execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements.
  • Maintain safe and clean work area standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills
  • Machine complex aerospace-grade components to tight tolerances
  • Interpret advanced blueprints, prints, and GD&T callouts
  • Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds and machining parameters
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks
  • Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency
  • Reduce scrap and rework through precision-focused execution
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements
  • Maintain safe and clean work area standards

Qualifications Section – Needed:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Technical machining certificate a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments
  • Strong experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills
  • Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls
  • Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment
  • Proven ability to machine tight-tolerance components with minimal scrap
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling, offsets, setups, and machine issues
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality standards
