Job summary

Jobot in Winsted, Connecticut is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 3pm to 11pm shift in a high-precision aerospace and power generation environment. You will set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills to produce aerospace-grade components with strict tolerances.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience, can read blueprints and GD&T, and are familiar with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino or Mitsubishi controls. Competitive hourly pay and Day 1 benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls.
• Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

Qualifications Section – Needed:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Technical machining certificate a plus
• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments
• Strong experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills
• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls
• Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment
• Proven ability to machine tight-tolerance components with minimal scrap
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling, offsets, setups, and machine issues
• Detail-oriented with strong quality standards
