Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC in Winsted, CT seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC Lathes, HMCs, and VMCs across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. You will read blueprints and GD&T, perform first-piece inspections, and collaborate with Quality and Engineering to meet tight aerospace tolerances.

This role requires at least 2 years of CNC machining experience in a precision shop, strong tooling knowledge, and a safety-minded mindset. Overtime and competitive pay offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Lathes, HMCs, and/or VMCs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances; aerospace-level experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, speeds, and feeds.
• Ability to diagnose machining issues and make independent process adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and a strong safety mindset.

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with experience operating and setting up CNC Lathes, Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs), and Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a precision machining environment and can work independently to ensure quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Lathes, HMCs, and VMCs

Perform machine setups, tooling changes, work offsets, and first-piece inspections

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
