Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a full-time third-shift opportunity in Greenville, Michigan. This is a hands‑on machining position for a candidate with experience setting up and operating multi‑axis CNC equipment, working from technical drawings, using precision inspection tools, and producing parts to close tolerances and finish specifications.
The CNC Machinist sets up, adjusts, and operates large CNC machines while supporting established quality and production standards. The position requires hands‑on knowledge of both 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC machining, Mastercam/CAD/CAM, machine setup, tooling, blueprint interpretation, inspection, and troubleshooting.
The machinist will produce pilot pieces for inspection, verify machine setups, make corrective adjustments, perform final inspections, monitor multiple CNC machines, and work with engineers, management, and other production team members to maintain quality and productivity.
This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce and inspect precision‑machined components. The machinist must understand the decimal system, accurately interpret technical information, select and use appropriate inspection equipment, and make machine or setup adjustments when measurements fall outside specifications.
EDUCATION NOTE: A college degree is not required. Candidates may qualify with a high school diploma or GED, vocational or apprenticeship training, 1–2 years of directly related CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.
IMPORTANT: This is a hands‑on CNC machining position. Candidates should be able to demonstrate actual experience setting up and operating CNC equipment, including both 3‑axis and 5‑axis machining, using Mastercam/CAD/CAM, selecting tooling, working from technical drawings, and inspecting finished parts with precision measuring equipment.
