Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 3rd shift to join Axis Engineering. You will set up and operate multi-axis CNC centers, edit programs, and inspect components against GD&T specifications in a safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment.
• Reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers to produce precision components.
• Edit and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency, cycle times, and quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Develop machining strategies that minimize setups while maximizing productivity.
• Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds appropriate for each job.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, vernier tools).
• Operate manual shop equipment including knee mills, surface grinders, and lathes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
• Work independently while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams.
