Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 11pm–7am shift in Winsted, CT to produce aerospace-grade components on 3, 4, and 5-axis mills. You will read blueprints, GD&T, set up tooling, and perform in-process inspections to ensure precision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical machining certificate a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Strong experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills.
• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls.
• Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment.
• Proven ability to machine tight-tolerance components with minimal scrap.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Machine complex aerospace-grade components to tight tolerances.
• Interpret advanced blueprints, prints, and GD&T callouts.
• Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
• Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency.
• Reduce scrap and rework through precision-focused execution.
• Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements.
• Maintain safe and clean work area standards.
