Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Set-Up to support the machining of complex, close-tolerance components. This role requires the ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes and/or CNC mills, verify first articles, and run production efficiently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years CNC machining experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding using engineering drawings and setup documentation.
• Establish machine zero points and complete first-part inspections to blueprint specifications.
• Verify dimensions and quality using appropriate inspection tools.
• Run production parts following successful setup and approval.
• Optimize cycle times and production methods while maintaining quality requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections and part benching during machine operation.
• Accurately complete SPC records, inspection documentation, and certified operator paperwork.
• Record work transactions correctly within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure product conformance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
