Job summary

Oatey in Shakopee, MN seeks a CNC Operator to fabricate metal components. You will run CNC machines, operate manual equipment, and convert drawings into finished parts with tight tolerances.

The role requires reading blueprints, inspecting parts with gauges, and working with precision instruments. Experience with CNC controllers and a proactive, learn-fast mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Position Summary

Fabricate metal components by manual machining and operating CNC machines.

Position Responsibilities

• Run multiple CNC machines simultaneously, efficiently running parts through the equipment.
• Operate band saws, drill presses, and other manual machining equipment.
• Perform machining operations for milling, boring, grinding, lathe.
• Create product based on work orders and drawings.
• Use wide range of precision measuring instruments to maintain a close tolerance.
• Complete reports, issue material to work order as required, file prints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proficient in part inspection, including use of calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and micrometers.
• Familiarity with CNC controllers
• Mechanical aptitude.

Education and Certification

Compensation Range for the Position

$18.64 - $24.24 - $29.83 USD

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
