Job summary

Silver Hills Bakery seeks a skilled 3rd shift Maintenance Millwright to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain stationary industrial food-processing equipment in a high-volume bakery environment.

You will specialize in heavy mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and precision maintenance to minimize downtime and sustain production. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, adherence to GMP and LOTO safety protocols, and the ability to work nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship or journeyman certification preferred.
• Experience with heavy mechanical maintenance in food-processing environments is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical failures on heavy rotating equipment.
• Perform laser/shaft alignment, bearing replacement, coupling installation, and seal repairs.
• Execute routine PMs to extend equipment life and optimize production cycles.
• Operate rigging equipment, cranes, and forklifts to move heavy machinery.
• Read schematics and weld stainless steel components as needed.
