Job summary

Pratt Industries in Town of Hebron, NY seeks a 3rd shift Assistant Machine Operator to support setup, cleanup and drive improvements for optimal productivity. You will assist the Machine Operator, follow GMPs, maintain clean work areas, and help reduce downtime while meeting quality standards.

We value safety, reliability and willingness to cross-train on other machines. High school diploma or GED required; packaging industry experience a plus; overtime may be needed with a shift premium on

Qualifications

• Read and follow instructions to perform tasks accurately.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations for measurements and quantities.
• Apply reasoning to solve basic problems in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).
• Assist Machine Operator with maximizing equipment utilization, and improve setup times and downtime.
• Identify and address mechanical concerns to reduce interruptions.
• Keep work area clean by good housekeeping and sanitization.
• Learn and understand equipment by assisting the Machine Operator with capacity and efficiency.
• Cross-train on other machines in the facility.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and timely (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety and Quality Data).
• Submit maintenance requests for needed repairs and support proactive upkeep.
• Adhere to production schedule and report scheduling issues to supervisor.
