Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have current State Teacher Certification in the area applied for.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Native American Communities.
• Experience working with Minority Students.
• Good computer operating skills.
• Bilingual/ESL endorsement preferred.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be accepted by the Board.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check with positive references.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the students' needs, interests and abilities.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students.
• Prepares for classes and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set goals and maintain standards of achievement and behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and technology as appropriate.
• Maintains documentation and progress reports; assesses student learning regularly.
