Job summary
Sanders Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Teacher for elementary art classes. The ideal candidate will have current State Teacher Certification, strong communication and collaboration skills, and experience working with Minority and Native American students. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and collaborating with administration to support school goals. This position is a ten-month contract based on district pay scale. Additional qualifications such as bilingual skills are preferred.
Qualifications
Must have current State Teacher Certification in the area applied for.
Must have excellent communication/collaboration skills.
Experience working in Native American Communities required.
Experience working with Minority Students preferred.
Must have good computer operating skills.
Bilingual/ESL endorsed preferred.
Responsibilities
Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations.
Plan a program of study catering to individual needs of students.
Create a conducive learning environment.
Prepare classes and show evidence of preparation to supervisor.
Encourage students to set goals for achievement and behavior.
Assess student accomplishments and maintain documentation.
