Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an on-site teacher in Texas to implement IDEA curricula aligned with state standards, assess student mastery, and communicate progress weekly. The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, planning and delivering rigorous lessons, and contributing to a collaborative school culture grounded in IDEA values.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree with K-12 teaching experience and a TX Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain required TX training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required)
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred)
• Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines (TEA)
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred; ESL certification preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly with assessments.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
