Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Class Size Teacher to address oversized classrooms in Priority Schools. Under the supervision of the principal, you will be responsible for instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, implementing teaching methods, maintaining records, communicating with parents, and participating in staff meetings. Qualifications include Illinois teaching certificate and state license.

Qualifications

• Education: completion of student teaching and coursework to obtain ISBE teaching certificate.
• License: valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Educator License with Stipulations.
• Knowledge/Abilities: subject matter knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide lesson plans and prepare instructional objectives.
• Apply instructional methods using available materials and develop new teaching techniques.
• Maintain accurate attendance and pupil records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and behavior.
• Participate in staff meetings and school activities, including field trips when needed.
