Qualifications

• Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and coursework required to obtain the Illinois teaching certificate(s).
• Must possess at least one valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (PEL or ELS).
• Knowledge of state certification requirements and classroom management techniques.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs and to work with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional activities with written lesson plans aligned to instructional objectives.
• Maintain positive learning environment and establish conduct standards.
• Evaluate pupil progress and maintain accurate records of achievements.
• Apply current curriculum content across subject areas and levels.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about academic progress and attendance.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and potential field trips.
• Coordinate with colleagues to support an articulated program of instruction.
• Support extra-curricular activities as needed.
