About the Role
As our 3PL Operations Supervisor, you'll run third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse operations for an assigned shift, leading our 3PL Operations Leads and their teams across multiple client accounts. You'll own shift performance against warehouse KPIs and client service level agreements (SLAs), drive root-cause analysis and corrective action, support new client onboarding, and keep the operation safe, compliant, and efficient.
What You'll Do
Shift leadership and planning
- Supervise 3PL Operations Leads and warehouse staff on your shift, giving direction and constant feedback and communicating company goals.
- Manage shift workflow across client accounts, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, pick/pack/ship, and returns.
- Build team schedules, delegate tasks, and plan staffing by client and function based on forecasted and actual volumes, priorities, and cut-off times.
Performance, clients, and quality
- Own shift results for warehouse KPIs and client SLAs, such as order accuracy, on-time shipment, dock-to-stock time, inventory accuracy, and productivity, and act when performance falls short.
- Serve as the shift's escalation point for client operational issues, and communicate exceptions, delays, and resolutions to clients and internal account teams.
- Lead root-cause analysis of mis-picks, mis-ships, inventory discrepancies, damages, and SLA misses, and follow through on corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee inventory control for the shift, including cycle counts, discrepancy research, and reconciliation in the WMS.
Process, onboarding, and SOPs
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that raise accuracy, productivity, and space utilization.
- Support new client onboarding by setting up workflows, writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training staff on client-specific requirements.
- Maintain and enforce SOPs so the team follows them consistently.
People, safety, and reporting
- Assess and coach Leads and staff, set goals, and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee training for new hires and Leads on their roles, WMS processes, and safety standards.
- Give HR input on hiring, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and regulations, including safe equipment operation, housekeeping, and incident reporting.
- Prepare and present shift performance, KPI/SLA, and exception reports to management.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse or fulfillment center environment, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role (required).
- Experience managing operations for multiple clients in a shared 3PL warehouse, with accountability for client SLAs and KPIs.
- A demonstrated ability to supervise team leads and staff, build schedules, and coach and evaluate performance.
- Experience handling client escalations and communicating operational issues to clients and management.
- Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous process improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of receiving, putaway, pick/pack/ship, shipping, inventory management and control, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and business analysis skills, with a track record of executing company standards successfully.
- Clear communication with people at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
- A proven record of maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a fast-paced, team-oriented, multi-shift environment.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF technology, plus strong MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Ability to pass E-Verify and a background check.
Nice to Have

- BS/BA degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration (equivalent experience is accepted).
