Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for the 3G & H unit (37-bed telemetry/medical surgical).

This Part-Time, First Shift position supports RN staff by delivering direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and documenting care in patient records. The unit specializes in orthopedic, neuro/spine, stroke, and cardiac telemetry, and requires you to maintain a safe, respectful care environment while responding to patient

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current KY Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year nursing program with clinical rotation.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire if not already held.

• Provide direct patient care: hygiene, mobility, feeding, positioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens.
• Perform delegated procedures: blood glucose, EKGs, venipuncture.

Nursing Assistant

Part-Time, First Shift

3G & H

3G/H is a 37-bed telemetry/medical surgical unit specializing in but not limited to orthopedic/neuro/spine patients. The unit serves as a secondary stroke unit as well as general cardiac/telemetry patients. The patients are transferred from PACU, ED, interventional areas, and direct admissions from MD offices.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Job Description:

• Provides direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.

• Obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data.

• Performs delegated clinical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and venipuncture.

• Assists with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.

• Performs clerical and unit coordination duties, including patient charts and physician orders.

• Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.

• Responds to patient needs and emergency situations while providing compassionate, respectful care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation

• Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
