Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 3FV Sub Assembler to assemble kits, stage, inspect, and document valve components and completed valve assemblies.

This full-time role in Salina, KS runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some overtime. The position initially operates at Enterprise, KS for a few weeks, then relocates to Salina by early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe valve assembly work area.
• Read schedules, bills of materials, drawings, routings, and assembly instructions to determine build requirements.
• Kit, stage, and verify valve components, hardware, seals, fittings, labels, and related parts for assembly.
• Assemble valves and related components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment.
• Install, align, tighten, and secure components such as valve bodies, cartridges, spools, springs, fittings, seals, O-rings, hoses, and mounting hardware.
• Inspect components and assemblies for proper fit, finish, orientation, cleanliness, and conformance to quality standards.

Sub Assembler - 3FV

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing,is seeking a 3rd Function Valve (3FV) Sub Assembler to assemble kits, as well as stage, inspect, and document valve components and completed valve assemblies.

This Position works Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overtime may be required.

*This role will work at our facility in Enterprise, KS for the first several weeks, but will move to Salina, KS by the beginning of 2027

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe valve assembly work area.


• Read and follow production schedules, work orders, bills of material, drawings, routings, and assembly instructions to determine valve components, quantities, and build requirements.


• Kit, stage, and verify valve components, hardware, seals, fittings, labels, and related parts to ensure correct materials are available for assembly.


• Assemble valves and related components according to specifications using appropriate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment.


• Install, align, tighten, and secure components such as valve bodies, cartridges, spools, springs, fittings, plugs, seals, O-rings, hoses, and mounting hardware as required.


• Inspect components and completed valve assemblies for proper fit, finish, orientation, cleanliness, and conformance to quality standards.


• Perform required checks, tests, or functional inspections on valve assemblies and report defects, shortages, or nonconforming materials to the appropriate supervisor or quality personnel.


• Maintain accurate records of parts used, kits completed, assemblies produced, shortages, defects, and other required production information.


• Use computer systems, scanners, paperwork, tags, or labels to document production activity, component usage, inventory movement, and completed assemblies.


• Move, lift, stage, and organize materials, kits, and completed valve assemblies using proper material-handling methods and equipment.


• Communicate with team members, supervisors, inventory personnel, and quality personnel regarding part availability, assembly issues, production priorities, and process improvements.


• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, organization, and workflow within the valve assembly and kitting area.


• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.


• Other duties may be assigned that require additional qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
