Job summary

Kitware is advancing 3D vision from photogrammetry to open source frameworks like TeleSculptor and KWIVER. In this role you will research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video, with current projects focusing on aerial and satellite imagery.

You will collaborate with government and industry partners, present findings at conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and contribute to national security relevant projects, while maintaining

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with multiview geometry to build 3D reconstructions from imagery/video.
• Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python with solid software development practices.
• Strong publication record in top conferences like CVPR/ICCV/ECCV.
• Innovative approach and track record solving difficult technical challenges.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• US Citizenship is required for this position.
• Willingness to apply for and maintain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop solutions involving camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with other researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
• Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
• Attend national/international conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, 3DV).
• Seek funding to grow and develop your own research areas, if desired.
