Job summary

Kitware advances 3D vision research from algorithms to open source applications, researching photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video.

You will contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield, collaborate with researchers, present findings to customers, and engage with national and international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, and 3DV while helping grow funded research areas.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field required.
• Strong publications record in CVPR/ICCV/ECCV is expected.
• Experience developing 3D reconstruction from imagery/video.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
• Present research findings to customers and collaborators.
• Attend conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, and 3DV.
• Seek funding to grow and develop your own research areas, if desired.
