Kitware in the United States is seeking a researcher to advance 3D vision algorithms including photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. Projects focus on aerial and satellite imagery, with potential to extend to new domains such as underwater imagery and synthetic aperture radar.

You will contribute to open source frameworks such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield, collaborate with customers, present findings at conferences, and pursue funding to grow

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with multiview geometry to build 3D point clouds, meshes, Gaussian Splats, or NeRFs from imagery or video.
• Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python with good software development practices.
• Strong publication record in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV.
• Willingness and ability to apply for TS/SCI security clearance if not already cleared.
• US Citizens only due to contractual restrictions.

Responsabilités

• Conduct research and develop solutions involving camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
• Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
• Engage with national and international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, and 3DV.
• Seek funding to grow and develop your own research areas, if desired.
