Job summary

Kitware invites applications for a Research Scientist position focusing on photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from imagery and video, with emphasis on aerial and satellite data.

You will contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield, publish results at top conferences, and collaborate with government and industry partners while pursuing state-of-the-art AI approaches in real-world national security contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with multiview geometry for 3D reconstruction from imagery or video.
• Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or calibration.
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python and solid software practices.
• Strong publication record in top-tier venues like CVPR/ICCV/ECCV.
• Innovative approach and ability to solve challenging visual problems.
• Willingness to apply for TS/SCI clearance if required.
• Include a detailed publications list in your resume/CV.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop algorithms for photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
