Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA is seeking a Machine Service Technician to maintain and repair additive manufacturing systems on the shop floor.

You will handle mechanical assembly, troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance to keep printers running 24/7/365. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and collaborating with Operations, Machine Build and Engineering to minimize downtime while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience in an industrial machine service technician role or machine-building environment.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and pneumatics assemblies.
• Familiarity working with complex systems and a strong ability to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance activities on the Additive Metal Printers throughout the facility.
• Prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain 3d printing systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fiber laser systems.
• Collaborate with Operations, Machine Build and Engineering to resolve issues promptly.
• Identify updates to TPMs through hands-on observation.
• Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.
• Assist with installation of equipment and machines in production.
• Read mechanical blueprints to perform maintenance duties.
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
