Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Print Optimization Intern on the SLA Materials Team in Somerville, MA for Summer 2027. The role involves developing and testing materials settings to maximize speed, surface quality, and support performance while evaluating current metrics for improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with data analysis and experimental design.
• Ability to follow protocols/SOPs and document results.
• Enthusiasm for 3D printing and curiosity about materials settings.
• Interest in learning measurement techniques and validating projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test materials settings for peak performance (speed, surface quality, supports, etc).
• Evaluate current material setting performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and execute experiments, using results to inform and develop improvements in software or hardware.
• Learn and operate high accuracy measurement equipment to validate your projects.
