Formlabs, a leader in accessible 3D printing, is seeking a Senior 3D Print Optimization Engineer in Somerville, MA. You will push SLA & SLS platform capabilities, architect optimization strategies, and drive cross-disciplinary root-cause analysis to improve print performance and reliability.

You will design experiments, collaborate across hardware, software, and materials, and ship impactful solutions to customers. Join a hands-on, customer-focused team shaping the future of fabrication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-graduate experience.
• Experience in test design where results impact product performance.
• Shipped a product or process to end users.
• Hands-on and cross-disciplinary problem solver.
• Owns work with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of our SLA & SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Architect 3D printing optimization methodologies for better printer performance.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying behavior in a multi-variable system.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems and develop and commercialize solutions with immediate impact on print performance.
