Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for children's apparel in NYC. You will work with design and production to set fit and construction standards, create style specs, and evaluate development samples to ensure quality and brand consistency.

The role requires 2+ years in children's wear, Browzwear 3D or similar, knowledge of knit and woven construction, patternmaking, and proficiency in Excel and Word. Office-based, 5 days/week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in children's wear or apparel.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Ability to measure sample points and ensure tolerance.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Familiar with patternmaking, sewing terminology, and garment construction.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator is a plus.
• Willing to work in the office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality.
• Create spec packages with correct grade rules and non-standard construction.
• Measure and evaluate development and proto samples for specs, quality, and workmanship.
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production.
• Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship comments to vendors with diagrams/patterns as needed.
• Ensure products meet children's safety requirements with Production and Compliance.
• Answer questions via email regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction.
