Ashton North LLC in NYC is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for children's apparel. You will develop and maintain fit and construction standards, collaborate with Design and Production to ensure brand consistency and quality, and create detailed spec packages.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Browzwear 3D software, and strong knowledge of knit and woven construction. Office-based, five days a week, in NYC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in children's apparel tech design.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Familiar with measurement sampling and tolerance checks.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Understanding garment manufacturing and product development process.

Responsabilités

• Work with Design and Production teams to establish and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality.
• Create spec packages for each style including correct grade rules and non-standard construction details.
• Accurate measurement and evaluation of development, proto samples for spec, quality & workmanship.
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production Depts.
• Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship comments to vendors, including providing detailed explanations, diagrams and/or patterns as needed.
• Work with Production and Compliance Depts to ensure all products meet relevant children’s safety requirements.
• Answer questions via email regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction as needed.
