Job summary

Sora Resource Group in New York City is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for children’s apparel to develop and maintain fit, construction, and quality across styles using Browzwear 3D software. You will create spec packages, measure samples, lead fit sessions, and communicate with vendors while ensuring safety requirements and style consistency.

Office-based role, five days per week. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, knowledge of knit and woven construction,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in children’s apparel.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar tool.
• Familiar with measuring sample points to ensure tolerance.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator is a plus.
• Willing to work in the office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and Production to set fit and construction standards.
• Create spec packages with grade rules and construction details.
• Measure development samples and evaluate for tolerance.
• Lead fit sessions with Design and Production teams.
• Communicate measurement and construction comments to vendors.
• Ensure products meet children’s safety requirements.
• Respond to emails about fit, specs, and construction.
