The Arc of Somerset County is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a 4pm to 11pm shift in Somerset County. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living, meal preparation, and community activities.

A strong focus on safety, nutrition, and ISP collaboration is essential. Requirements include HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of I/DD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• One year’s I/DD experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist consumers, as needed, in skill development, activities of daily living, personal care, domestic living, recreation and socialization.
• Ensure assigned clients’ nutritional needs; assisting with feeding as necessary.
• Assist consumers in nutritional planning, grocery shopping and preparation of all meals.
• Collaborate on the development/implementation of consumers’ Individual Service plans (ISP).
• Train and support consumers in all areas of their ISP.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Train and support consumers in the community including: social, recreational, cultural, religion and education networks.

Connaissances

Pay:$18.91/hr

Education:HS Diploma or GED required
