Job summary

The Arc of Somerset County is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a female shift from 9am to 4pm in Somerset County, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, meals, ISP collaboration, medication administration, and community participation.

Requirements include HS Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and experience with I/DD preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• One year’s experience I/DD (preferred).

• Assist consumers in skill development, activities of daily living, personal care, domestic living, recreation and socialization.
• Ensure assigned clients’ nutritional needs; assisting with feeding as necessary.
• Assist consumers in nutritional planning, grocery shopping and preparation of all meals.
• Collaborate on the development/implementation of consumers’ Individual Service plans (ISP).
• Train and support consumers in all areas of their ISP.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Train and support consumers in the community including: social, recreational, cultural, religion and education networks.
