Vail Health is seeking a 340B Specialist to partner with the Director of Pharmacy and lead the 340B program. You will drive compliance, auditing, governance, and cross‑functional collaboration to maximize savings and maintain program integrity.

The role supports inpatient pharmacy operations and requires hospital pharmacy experience, knowledge of HRSA/OPA rules, and familiarity with TPAs and contract pharmacies. This position emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5 years Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy experience required.
• DSH experience preferred.
• Previous experience with Verity or other third‑party administrator (TPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees the organization's 340B Program as subject matter expert across departments.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with HRSA, OPA, and 340B regulatory requirements.
• Develops an auditing program including internal audits and external audits.
• Supports governance, monitoring, and accountability for program performance.
• Collaborates with third‑party admins, wholesalers, and contract pharmacies for smooth operations.
• Oversees 340B purchasing, inventory, and accumulator software with compliance.
• Delivers organization‑wide training on 340B requirements.
• Analyzes utilization, savings and financial performance to guide leadership.
