Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System seeks a data analytics professional to design, implement, and optimize analytics solutions for the 340B Enterprise and pharmacy teams.

You will analyze relational data, develop queries, and automate reporting using Tableau, Crystal Reports, SAP, and related tools. Strong collaboration with pharmacy staff and management is essential to improve productivity and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Hospital Administration, or related field and two (2) years of experience in pharmacy or data analytics.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Hospital Administration (preferred).
• Two (2) years of experience working with relational data base structures including design, testing, troubleshooting problems and/or training.
• Two (2) years of experience in data analysis and/or health care planning background, preferably in Pharmacy.
• Two (2) years of experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Experience with SQL/Oracle and/or Business Objects.

Responsibilities

• Maintains understanding of data base structure and BI tools to create analytical solutions for the pharmacy team.
• Serves as first point of contact for data analytics and process improvement for the pharmacy team.
• Performs data analysis and creates queries, programs and automation.
• Uses analytical methods to ensure reported data is meaningful and accurate.
• Demonstrates technical ability in data analytics using Tableau, Microsoft Office, and SAP products.
• Routinely evaluates current analytics tools and improves processes with cross-functional teams.
• Maintains a pharmacy database used for complex analysis of drug purchase and utilization.
• Leads data requirements gathering and provides analytical insights to drive business decisions.
• Coordinates projects across cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
