Job summary

WVU Medicine in Kentucky is seeking an analytics-focused professional to support the Enterprise Pharmacy Business Operations team. You will design, innovate, and implement data-driven solutions to improve pharmacy systems and processes, advocate for customer needs, and identify productivity opportunities across the enterprise.

You will analyze data, create queries and automation, and communicate insights to management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in pharmacy or data analytics.
Two years of experience with relational database structures (design, testing, troubleshooting).
Two years of experience in data analysis and health care planning, preferably in Pharmacy.
Two years of experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
Experience with SQL/Oracle and/or Business Objects.

Responsibilities

Maintains understanding of database structure and BI tools to create analytical solutions for the pharmacy team.
Serves as first point of contact for data analytics and process improvement for the pharmacy team.
Performs data analysis and creates queries, programs and automation.
Uses analytical methods to ensure reported data is meaningful and accurate.
Demonstrates technical ability in data analytics using Tableau, Microsoft Office, and SAP products.
Routinely evaluates current pharmacy analytic tools and practices and improves processes.
Maintains a pharmacy database for complex analysis of drug purchase and utilization.
Participates in performance improvement activities and training.
Leads data requirements gathering and translates needs into actionable solutions.
Provides analytical insights from data to drive strategic business decisions.
