Boston Baby Nurses LLC in Newton, MA is seeking a long-term, live-out nanny to care for two school-age brothers after school. The older boy has autism and ADHD, while the younger is active and easygoing.

This is a guaranteed 30-hour week position, with potential for additional daytime hours during school vacations and holidays. The ideal candidate is patient, proactive, organized, and experienced in supporting children with special needs.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Non-smoker/vaper
• Pediatric CPR / First Aid certified
• 3+ years of professional childcare experience, including experience supporting children with special needs
• Up to date on COVID vaccination
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• School pick-up and transportation to activities
• Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and encouraging community involvement
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Assisting with homework, school projects, and household responsibilities appropriate for their ages
• Helping establish structure, routines, and organization while remaining flexible to each child's individual needs
• Supporting the older child's unique developmental and social needs with patience, creativity, and encouragement

Position Details

Location: Newton, MA

Schedule: Monday 3:00 PM-7:00 PM; Tuesday 3:00 PM-8:00 PM; Wednesday 2:00 PM-8:00 PM; Thursday 3:00 PM-8:00 PM (11:00 AM start on early release days); Friday 3:00 PM-7:00 PM. The family guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week and is looking for flexibility to work additional daytime hours during school vacations, holidays, and no-school days. Additional hours may also be available for the right candidate.

Start Date: September 28

Hourly Rate: $35-$40/hour BOE; taxes withheld
