Job summary

Boston Baby Nurses LLC is seeking a long-term, live-out nanny in Newton, MA to care for two school-aged boys. The family values patience, consistency, and a supportive approach to developmental needs, including autism and ADHD challenges.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of childcare, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver's license. Schedule includes late afternoons and potential extra daytime hours during breaks; compensation ranges $35–$40 per hour with BOE.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience, including experience supporting children with special needs.
• Pediatric CPR / First Aid certification.
• 21+ years old; non-smoker.
• Up-to-date on COVID vaccination.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• School pick-up and transportation to activities, appointments, and outings.
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and encourage community involvement.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Assist with homework, school projects, and age-appropriate household tasks.
• Help establish structure, routines, and organization while remaining flexible to each child's needs.
• Support the older child's developmental and social needs with patience and encouragement.

Their older son is a bright, energetic, and charming 14-year-old with autism, ADHD, and some allergies, while their younger son is an active, kind, and easygoing 11-year-old. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver who enjoys working with older children, has experience supporting children with special needs, and is looking to build a long-term relationship with a thoughtful and appreciative family.

Requirements

Position Details

• Location: Newton, MA


• Schedule: Monday 3:00 PM-7:00 PM; Tuesday 3:00 PM-8:00 PM; Wednesday 2:00 PM-8:00 PM; Thursday 3:00 PM-8:00 PM (11:00 AM start on early release days); Friday 3:00 PM-7:00 PM. The family guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week and is looking for flexibility to work additional daytime hours during school vacations, holidays, and no-school days. Additional hours may also be available for the right candidate.

• Hourly Rate: $35-$40/hour BOE; taxes withheld
