Home Work Staffing in the Boston area is seeking a reliable, professional part-time nanny for two children ages 5 and 4, one nonverbal and the other with Asperger's. Start ASAP with relocation from Dedham to Wellesley in December; compensation is $30–$35/hour with 30 guaranteed hours per week.

The role is live-out with a steady schedule, including driving, school drop-offs, routines, and collaboration with the family’s therapy team. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Previous professional nanny experience with young children.
• Experience with children who have autism or special needs is a strong plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to commute to Dedham now and to Wellesley starting in December.

Responsibilities

• Keep the children safe at home, in the car, and in the community.
• Get the children ready for morning shifts and make breakfast.
• Drive the children to and from school and activities.
• Provide one‑on‑one care and coordinate with other caregivers and therapists.
• Support routines used by school and therapy teams.
• Plan engaging, age‑appropriate activities for afternoons and evenings.
• Assist with dinner, bath time, and bedtime routines.
• Adapt to schedule changes each semester and expanded summer hours.
• Occasionally help on weekends as needed.
• Keep the parent updated on the day, behavior, and progress.

Location: Dedham, MA (relocating to Wellesley, MA in December)
Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Part-time, live-out. Monday 2:30–8:30 PM; Tuesday 6:00–9:00 AM and 2:30–8:30 PM; Wednesday 2:30–8:30 PM; Thursday 6:00–9:00 AM; Friday 2:30–8:30 PM; occasional Saturday or Sunday hours possible
Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

Overview/About the Family:
A loving, active family outside Boston is looking for a reliable, professional live-out nanny to join their established care team. They have two children, ages 5 and 4. Both are on the autism spectrum and attend a specialized autism school. One child has Asperger’s and the other is nonverbal. The family already has a live-out nanny, an RBT who helps on weekends, and overnight support two nights a week. Each child needs focused one‑on‑one attention, so they’re adding another caregiver. The parent is returning to work on a hybrid schedule. Life in this home is busy and full of energy. The right nanny is upbeat and hardworking, stays calm under pressure, and keeps up with the pace. Safety and security come first. The schedule stays fairly consistent within each school semester and will change as the children grow. Summers are especially busy, so flexibility is essential. The family is moving from Dedham to Wellesley in December and is looking for a long‑term match.

Requirements:

• Previous professional nanny experience with young children
• Willing to work with children who have learning and developmental disabilities; autism or special needs experience is a strong plus
• Strong sense of safety and security awareness
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Upbeat, high‑energy personality who stays calm and patient in hectic moments
• Team player who communicates well with other caregivers and therapists
• Flexible about schedule changes from semester to semester and busier summers
• Comfortable with a split‑shift schedule
• Able to commute to Dedham now and to Wellesley starting in December
